Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have recorded another major victory against insurgents in Borno State, neutralizing 10 terrorists and recovering a cache of weapons during a night ambush along the Gamboru–Dikwa–Marte axis.
Military sources said the operation, executed by Sector 1 troops under the 24 Task Force Brigade, was launched following intelligence that terrorists were attempting to infiltrate Gamboru Ngala from the Flatari axis. The insurgents, after facing heavy resistance, tried to divert through Dikwa but were met with a devastating ambush along the Dikwa–Marte route.
At about 11:50 p.m. on October 25, 2025, the troops unleashed precise and overwhelming firepower that forced the terrorists into disarray. A subsequent dawn clearance confirmed 10 terrorists dead, while several others escaped with injuries.
Recovered items included five AK-47 rifles, a PKT machine gun, locally fabricated firearms, a cache of ammunition, motorcycles, bicycles, a radio set, and personal effects.
The Military High Command commended the troops for their bravery and tactical brilliance, reaffirming its resolve to sustain aggressive counter-insurgency operations until total peace and stability return to the North-East.
