In response to swirling social media rumors, Bashir Ahmad has set the record straight on his X account regarding former President Muhammadu Buhari’s absence from the funeral of Hajiya Dada Yar’adua, mother of his lifelong friend and classmate, late General Shehu Musa Yar’adua, and former President Umar Musa Yar’adua.
Ahmad emphasized that Buhari, currently out of the country, could not attend due to travel commitments, not by choice.
Despite his physical absence, Buhari conveyed deep personal condolences to the Yar’adua family, honoring the strong ties that bind them.
