A heartbreaking incident occurred on Friday in Lugbe, Abuja, where a man lost his life in a road accident while rushing his sick father to the hospital.
According to eyewitness accounts, the man had just driven off the Lugbe flyover when he collided with a parked truck. The impact left him critically injured, and he sadly passed away before help could arrive.
Residents who witnessed the scene described the situation as painful, noting that the victim was desperately trying to save his father’s life. Good Samaritans at the scene quickly assisted in taking the elderly father to the hospital for medical attention.
Authorities are yet to release the identity of the deceased, but community members have expressed deep sympathy to the affected family, describing the incident as a tragic reminder of the dangers posed by unmarked or poorly lit trucks along busy roads.
