In a sudden but strategic move, President Tinubu has paused his scheduled departure for South Africa, where he was set to attend the G-20 Summit, pending a detailed briefing from Vice President Kashim Shettima, senior Presidency officials confirmed last night.
The decision underscores the President’s insistence on receiving first-hand updates on developments in Kebbi State before embarking on the high-level international engagement.
Vice President Shettima, who is currently in Kebbi on an official assessment tour, is leading the Federal Government’s fact-finding mission.
