In a fiery statement likely to heighten tensions in the Middle East, Ir@n ’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has accused the United States of covertly backing Israeli aggression, saying Tehran has “many indications” Washington has been involved “from day one.”
“They deny, they keep saying they are not involved,” Araghchi told reporters in Tehran, “but we have many indications they have been involved from day one. Their hands are not clean.”
The Ir@nian diplomat made it clear that any possibility of resuming talks with the U.S. is off the table as long as Washington continues to support what he described as “unprovoked and barbaric” Isr@eli military operations across the region.
“How can we negotiate with a government that enables bombings on civilians, hospitals, and refugee camps?” Araghchi asked pointedly. “America cannot claim neutrality while financing and defending these atrocities.”
The statement comes amid a wave of regional outrage over Isr@el’s latest strikes, which have left scores dead and several health facilities destroyed. Though the U.S. has maintained that it is not directly involved, its financial and diplomatic support for Isr@el has drawn condemnation from across the Muslim world.
Analysts say Araghchi’s remarks reflect growing frustration in Tehran, where the leadership believes diplomatic overtures are being met with duplicity.
“This is not diplomacy—it’s a double game,” said one Ir@nian official, speaking anonymously. “They want negotiations while holding a sword behind their back.”
The U.S. State Department has yet to respond to Araghchi’s comments, but tensions are expected to rise further as Ir@n signals it may reconsider its commitments under existing nuclear frameworks.
Meanwhile, anti-U.S. protests flared in major Iranian cities, with demonstrators chanting “Death to America” and “Free Palestine,” echoing the government’s hardening stance.
As the rhetoric escalates and battle lines are drawn, hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough between Ir@n and the United States continue to fade—replaced by suspicion, anger, and a region on edge.
