The Northeast Chapter of the Advance Positive Change of Nigeria (APCON) has thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, urging Nigerians to ensure the continuation of their administration beyond 2027.

In a communiqué issued after a special consultative meeting in Bauchi on August 30, 2025, and signed by Zonal Coordinator Yusuf Sarkin Baka and Zonal Secretary Hon. Babagana Wakil, APCON described the Tinubu-Shettima government as “a beacon of renewed hope, laying the foundation for economic recovery, national security, and sustainable development.”

The group particularly lauded Vice President Shettima as a “pillar of strength and trusted partner in governance,” crediting him for championing national unity, driving economic reforms, and steering the rebuilding of the insurgency-battered Northeast.

> “The Northeast has witnessed the tireless efforts of Vice President Shettima in advancing reforms and rebuilding our region. He is a son of the soil, a statesman of proven capacity, and we are convinced he must continue alongside President Tinubu in this journey of national renewal,” the group stated.

> “We categorically affirm that the Tinubu-Shettima partnership must continue in 2027. This tested and trusted team is the guarantee of Nigeria’s stability, unity, and prosperity,” the statement concluded.
