A recent audio broadcast from the Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen (JNIM) militant group has claimed responsibility for a devastating attack on Togolese army forces in Kpankankandi, near the Burkina Faso border.
According to the broadcast, the attack resulted in significant losses, including:
– The destruction of one vehicle
– The seizure of two motorcycles
– The killing of more than six Togolese soldiers (FAT)
