The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has initiated a phased restoration of the national grid, starting with the Shiroro Substation.
This move comes in response to the nationwide blackout triggered by the organized labour’s strike.
In a recent update, TCN reported that while the Nigerian Labour Congress has called off the strike, the restoration process remains gradual.
Currently, Shiroro Hydropower is incrementally boosting its output, supplying power to the Katampe Substation, with efforts underway to stabilize the grid nationwide.
