Tensions in the Middle East have taken a dangerous turn as Iran has reportedly designated key locations in the Syrian capital, Damascus, as potential military targets.

According to Syrian journalist Fared al-Mahlool, Tehran has identified the Presidential Palace, alongside the high-profile Four Seasons Hotel Damascus and Sheraton Damascus Hotel, as sites of strategic interest.

The claim alleges the presence of American, Israeli, and British “experts” within these locations—an assertion that, if true, could significantly escalate an already volatile regional standoff.

Security observers warn that targeting such prominent  (civilian-linked) and government sites would mark a major shift, potentially widening the конфликт beyond current  (frontlines).

Neither Iran nor officials in Syria have issued formal confirmation, and independent verification remains unavailable.

However, the mere suggestion of such targets has sparked global concern over the risk of a broader confrontation involving multiple powers.

As uncertainty deepens, the situation in Damascus is being closely watched, with fears that any miscalculation could trigger far-reaching consequences across the region.
