Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has paid a heartfelt tribute to late football legend Coach Christian Chukwu, describing him as a composed leader who helped shape Nigeria’s golden era in football.
Taking to his X account, Oliseh wrote, “Sunny, wake up! Gbalamun don land! RIP Coach Christian Chukwu, a true legend. Sadly, we’ve lost a man I deeply admire before, during, and after our Nigeria’s golden ’90s era.”
In an emotional reflection, Oliseh said he kept hearing Chukwu’s voice all day after receiving the devastating news. “The composed ‘Chairman’ guided Nigeria and the Super Eagles to glory. A beloved hero,” he added, signing off with the hashtag #ChukwuLivesOn.
