Ambassador Al-Mustapha Bala Assudany, a Sudanese cleric, has urged Nigerian youths to reconsider their planned protests over economic hardship, warning that nothing good will come from them.

During a pre-huduba sermon at the Sultan Bello Mosque, Assudany shared harrowing experiences from Sudan, where protests led to civil war and widespread destruction. He emphasized that enemies of Nigeria might exploit these protests, as seen in Sudan, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, and Libya.

Assudany’s 20-minute plea cautioned Nigerians to learn from Sudan’s tragic history to avoid similar bloodshed. He stressed that protests could lead to more chaos and instability, urging young Nigerians to seek peaceful solutions instead.

The cleric concluded with prayers for peace in Nigeria and a call for leadership to address the nation’s economic woes responsibly.
