STOLEN TOYOTA CAMRY RECOVERED IN AKWA IBOM, SUSPECT NABBED IN NIGHT OPERATION

Katsina state government

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota Camry barely a week after it was reported missing from a hospital car park in Abak LGA.

According to the Command, the car was stolen on July 18, 2025, while the owner—who had received a tally card at the hospital gate—was inside for a medical appointment. He returned to find the vehicle gone without a trace.

Thanks to strategic stop-and-search operations, the stolen car was recovered on July 26, 2025, at around 9:30 PM along Ikot Ekpene Road Main Park. One Otoabasi George Ime, found in possession of the vehicle, claimed he had bought it from a car stand in Uyo LGA.
