Sokoto Governor’s wife bags outstanding mother of the year award

Wife of Sokoto State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Aliyu, has received outstanding mother of the year 2024 award from a non-profit organisation, Amazing Fame Concept in collaboration with Caliphate Youth Forum.

The award was presented by Alhaji Balarabe Kakale former House of Representatives member of Dange-Shuni/Tureta federal constituency on behalf of the group on Monday night in Sokoto.

Kakale described the award as deserving and was based on merit in recognition of the governor’s wife committment to uplifting peoples lives especially children and less privileged persons.

He said her contribution on promoting reproductive health, enhancing overall
healthcare delivery as well as women and youths empowerment and humanitarian services is quite commendable in the state.

According to him, the efforts had transformed the state indicators to better when compared with previous figures especially on vulnerable persons and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Responding, Mrs Aliyu, who was represented by the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Shagari, thanked the organisers for the award.

She described the award as “special wake-up call ” which would serve as motivation to the improve serve and committment to the humanity.

The members of organisations that presented the award are Sokoto indigines promoting virtues, recognising productive engagements and community contributions among citizens.
