The Allowed Progressives Congress (APC), Sokoto state chapter, has warned party leaders and loyalists against sabotaging government policies and programmes in the state.
The state Chairman, Alhaji Isa Achida, gave the warning during the swearing in of the new party chairmen of Goronyo and Tambuwal local government areas on Tuesday in Sokoto.
Achida cautioned them against doing anything capable of bringing disunity among their members.
“As leaders you are expected to see all members of the party as your own. Don’t say this one support me and this one don’t.
“They are all your members, carry everybody along. And don’t give room for factions the party strata at all levels,” he said
He explained that APC led government at national and state levels are executing meaningful policies and programmes aimed at improving the living standards of citizenry.
” For successful implementation of these programmes in your areas you are expected to be catalysts. Any Chairman found sabotaging the government efforts would face the consequences of his actions,” he said
The sworn in Chairmen were Alhaji Hassan Sayyinna and Alhaji Sa’idu Goronyo of Tambuwal and Goronyo and Tambuwal local government areas respectively.
Sayyinna was the party Deputy Chairman of the party in the area before his elevation, following the death of the former Chairman of the party.
Similarly, Muhammad replaced the former chairman of the party in Goronyo local government area who is now the sole administrator of the area.
Newsmen reports that the event was witnessed by party chieftains and supporters from the state.
