Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima is one of the dignitaries on the African continent and beyond to witness the burial ceremony of the late Tijjaniyya Movement Legend and renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi who passed away in the early hours of Thursday.
Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi died at the age of 102 years, in the early hours of Thursday at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, following old aged-related sickness.
The remains of a renowned Islamic scholar will be buried today, Friday at his Gombe road residence, Bauchi following his will to that effect prior to his death which occured on yesterday
The late Islamic cleric will be leaving behind, according to family sources, four wives, 78 children, over 199 grandchildren, 12 great-grand chicken, family sources confirmed
Late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s wisdom and preaching have led hundreds of thousands non-Muslims to convert to the religion of Islam. He has an unprecedented number of Tijjaniyya followers both within and outside Nigeria, especially the West African countries of Niger, Chad, Mali, Gambia and Senegal, among others
Meanwhile, the State House of Assembly has mourned the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi at a veledictory session presided over by the Rt. Hon. Speaker Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman with prayers led by the State GrandKhadi, Khadi Ahmed Umar.
