Former Kaduna Senator Shehu Sani has labeled the criticisms of Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu as unnecessary distractions.
Addressing the media in Kaduna, Sani highlighted the significant decline in banditry across the North-west and North-central, attributing it to the efforts of the security chiefs.
Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal had accused Matawalle of ties with bandits and reported him to President Tinibu and Ribadu.
However, Sani questioned these allegations, emphasizing the security improvements since Buhari’s tenure.
He urged critics to support ongoing efforts rather than undermine the fight against terrorism.
