Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency has supported victims severely affected by flood in four local government areas of his District.
The benefitting victims were drived from Jibia, Katsina, Kaita and Safana local government areas.
The support items include bags of Rice, Maize, Salt, cartons of Spaghetti, Cooking Oil and Seasoning which were distributed at an occasion conducted on Sunday 24/8/25 at the Zonal Office of the Senator along WTC Road Katsina.
Speaking at the occasion, the Representative of the Senator Alhaji Abu Rimi explained that the support was imperative considering the havoc caused by the flood in the affected areas.
The Senator according to Alhaji Abu Rimi immediately collaborated with NEMA to come to the aid of the victims which had currently became a reality.
It could be recalled that the victims of the recent flooding in Dankama town of Kaita LGA have been supported with One Million Naira (N1M) and twelve victims of thunderstorm at Kanyar Uban Daba in Rimi LGA with N50,000 each in addition to bags of Millet and Maize to three out of the 12 victims.
The Senator commiserated with the victims and urged them to ensure good utilisation of the support items.
On their part, the representative of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Alhaji Iliyasu Ibrahim Rafukka appreciate the efforts of the Senator for his continous concern and support to his Constituents.
The SEMA Director who pointed out that the beneficiaries were screened by SEMA, registered his satisfaction with the mode of distribution of the items designed by the Committee enshrined to ensure the distribution.
The APC Katsina Central Zonal Chairman on behalf of the APC, Alhaji Yahaya Asasanta appreciated the action, saying that such gesture ensured by the Senator had became familiar to the APC family in the District.
Earlier, Hon. Tanimu Sada (House to House) explained the motives of the support and those toe benefit from the support.
He pointed out that, Senator AbdulAziz Yar’adua has became a hero amongst other Senators in the state and the nation in terms of humanitarian activities.
In a vote of thanks, the Danmadamin Katsina District Head of Daddara Alhaji Usman Usman thanked the Senator for his continous humanitarian activities.
Others that witnessed the occasion include representative of Sarkin Arewan Katsina District Head of Jibia Alhaji Mubarak Rabi’u Jibia, Katsina Local Government Council Leader Hon. Ishak Tasi’u Modoji represented Katsina Local Council Chairman and Katsina LGA Coordinator to the Senator Alhaji Sani Bambale.
Others are Director General KASSAROTA Major Yahaya Rimi, Alhaji Abu Bala Saulawa, Alhaji Umaru Farouk AK, Alhaji Umaru Aska, Alhaji Shehu Kafinta and Alhaji Tukur U/Madawaki among others.
