In a move set to deepen inter-agency cooperation in Katsina State, the Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, CP Bello Shehu, has received the newly deployed Controller of Corrections, Abdulrashid Sule, on a strategic courtesy visit at the Command Headquarters.
The high-level meeting underscored renewed commitment to strengthening the administration of criminal justice and enhancing security coordination across the state.
During the visit, Controller Abdulrashid Sule expressed heartfelt appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and his entourage. He commended the longstanding and productive relationship between the Katsina State Police Command and the Nigerian Correctional Service, describing it as pivotal to maintaining law and order.
The Corrections chief highlighted key areas requiring closer collaboration, particularly in ensuring seamless custody management, intelligence sharing, and operational support. He pledged sustained synergy with the Police Command to guarantee public safety and reinforce security architecture in the state.
Responding, CP Bello Shehu described the visit as “timely and strategic,” affirming the Command’s readiness to strengthen institutional ties for improved service delivery. He assured the Controller that his office remains open for constructive engagement, noting that inter-agency cooperation remains critical in tackling evolving security challenges.
