The former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, has stirred political tension, claiming possession of explosive evidence against Governor Abba Yusuf and his political mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Speaking publicly for the first time since his dismissal in December 2024, Mr. Bichi accused his former allies of betrayal and deception. Addressing supporters on Thursday after returning from Saudi Arabia, he declared, “When the time is right, I will reveal the truth about them. I have documents, videos, and voice recordings that will expose their true nature.”
Bichi, who was sacked alongside five commissioners, expressed contentment with his peaceful exit from office but criticized the integrity of his former political associates. “They are not trustworthy. They thrive on treachery and betrayal,” he said.
The former SSG’s comments have sparked speculation about the potential fallout of his revelations, as Kano’s political landscape braces for what could be a dramatic showdown. Observers believe Bichi’s allegations could significantly impact the reputation of the Kwankwasiyya movement and its leaders.
As tensions rise, all eyes remain on Baffa Bichi’s next move, with Kano’s political scene poised for potential upheaval.
