Port Harcourt, July 13, 2025 – What looked like a drama on the tarmac turned into a triumph in safety, as Air Peace Flight P47190, touching down from Lagos, slid a little too far—but ended well—at Port Harcourt International Airport early Sunday morning.

The aircraft, a Boeing (operated by Air Peace from Lagos), veered slightly off Runway 22 after landing, coming to a stop on the grassy verge—no major damage noted .

A short video clip circulating on social media shows passengers calmly disembarking, collecting carry-ons, and walking away—no chaos, no injuries .

Spokesperson Osifo‑Whiskey Efe assured, “The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage. All passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and no injuries were reported,” emphasizing Air Peace’s “unflinching commitment to the highest standards of safety”.

Port Harcourt International has seen runway excursions before—in June 2019, another Air Peace Boeing exited the runway into wet grass during heavy rain . But thankfully, such events have been handled without casualties.
