KADUNA — Tragedy struck Girku village in Rigachikun LGA, Kaduna State, as armed bandits launched a deadly night raid on a Fulani settlement, leaving two men dead and several cattle stolen.
According to intelligence sources, the attack occurred on April 9, 2025, when the assailants stormed the home of Alhaji Likita under the cover of darkness and opened fire indiscriminately.
The victims, Ya’u Likita (28) and Abubakar Nagoggo (30), suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were rushed to Kujama Primary Health Care, where they were pronounced dead.
The bandits escaped with an undisclosed number of cattle, sparking fears of further attacks. Security operatives are said to be combing the area in search of the perpetrators as investigations continue.
