In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, over 250 containers loaded with Tramadol and other illicit narcotics have been uncovered at Nigerian ports. The discovery comes as National Security Advisor Mallam Nuhu Ribadu intensifies efforts to combat the drug menace sweeping the nation.

To spearhead this mission, an inter-agency task force has been formed, drawing expertise from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Nigeria Customs Service, NDLEA, NAFDAC, and the Nigerian Army. The task force has been mandated to trace the origins of the narcotics, confiscate them, and oversee their complete destruction.

This breakthrough signals the beginning of an aggressive campaign to dismantle the drug networks threatening national security and public health.
