The Katsina State Chapter of the Renewed Hope Grassroot Movement (RHGM) has reaffirmed its total support for the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, applauding their courageous leadership and people-centered reforms that continue to reshape Nigeria’s future.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Lawal Gwanda, the group commended the recent remarks of its Northwest Zonal Leader, Alhaji Abubakar Lawal Siha Bakori, describing his assessment of both leaders’ performances as “accurate, eloquent, and reflective of the realities on ground.”
According to the RHGM, both Tinubu and Radda have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the principles of good governance, inclusivity, and economic transformation. The movement emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda at the federal level and the Radda Transformation Agenda in Katsina State are working in harmony to deliver tangible progress to citizens.
Tinubu’s Courageous Reforms Praised
The statement lauded President Tinubu’s bold policies, particularly the Student Loan Scheme, which it described as a “revolutionary step” in democratizing access to higher education.
“This initiative removes the financial barriers that have long hindered millions of Nigerian youths from pursuing their dreams,” the statement read. “By investing in education, President Tinubu is investing in Nigeria’s greatest asset—its human capital.”
The group further hailed Tinubu’s commitment to granting political, administrative, and financial autonomy to Local Government Councils, describing it as a crucial reform that strengthens grassroots governance and promotes rural development.
“These reforms ensure that resources directly benefit local communities, empower local leaders, and deepen our democratic values,” the RHGM declared.
The movement also highlighted the administration’s empowerment programmes targeting youth and women in agriculture and vocational training, as well as the ongoing security interventions aimed at restoring peace and stability across the Northwest.
Radda’s Impactful Governance in Katsina
Turning to the state level, the RHGM praised Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s administration for its “dynamic, compassionate, and results-driven approach to leadership.”
The group cited the Governor’s strides in agriculture, civil service reform, and rural security, noting that his actions have significantly improved the lives of ordinary citizens.
“In a strategic move to revitalize our agrarian economy, Governor Radda has revived agricultural extension services, deploying trained agents to guide farmers in modern techniques, pest control, and access to improved inputs,” the group said. “This has boosted food security and enhanced farmers’ incomes, reinforcing Katsina’s position as a key agricultural hub.”
On the welfare of retired civil servants, RHGM commended Radda’s administration for approving and releasing ₦23 billion in gratuity payments, alongside implementing the Contributory Pension Law and introducing lifelong health insurance for retirees.
“These measures reflect a deep sense of justice and gratitude to those who have served our state diligently,” the group stated.
In the area of security, the RHGM applauded the establishment of the Katsina Community Watch Corps, describing it as a “homegrown and people-driven initiative” that complements the efforts of conventional security agencies in tackling banditry and other crimes at the grassroots level.
A Call for Collective Support
Reaffirming its full alignment with the Northwest leadership of the Renewed Hope Grassroot Movement, the Katsina chapter declared its unwavering support for both administrations, pledging continued collaboration toward achieving shared national and state development goals.
“We stand firmly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda in their quest to deliver prosperity, stability, and renewed hope to Nigerians,” the group said.
The RHGM therefore called on the people of Katsina State—farmers, traders, civil servants, youth, and community leaders—to unite behind the two leaders and sustain their commitment to national and state progress.
“Our collective strength lies in unity, patriotism, and faith in the Renewed Hope vision,” the statement concluded. “Together, we can consolidate the gains of these visionary administrations and secure a brighter future for all.”
