Local Government Resident Inspectors in Katsina State have been directed to compile and submit up to date reports on projects related to Primary Health Centres (PHC) and Agricutural Mechanisation Centres (AMCs) from all the 34 local government areas of the state.
The Special Adviser Department of Local Government Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana gave the directives on Tuesday when he met with Zonal and Resident Inspectors in Katsina.
The S A said the report should clearly state the current status of each project, level of completion, payment made and name of Contractors handling each project.
Hon. Lawal Safana explained that the information required is to enable the Inspectorate to compile final report on all the common projects so far awarded by local government councils in the state.
The Resident Inspectors were also directed to pay attention to the new projects being awarded by local government councils as recently directed by the State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda and submit reports to the Headquarters.
He enjoined them to be accurate, objective and avoid victimisation while compiling reports on any official assignment.
Questions and answers on important issues were observed during the meeting.
The Special Adviser therefore informed the Resident Inspectors that the next leg of his project inspection tour to all local government areas will begin next week.
