Professor Mansur Usman Malumfashi, a distinguished scholar from Abubakar Tabawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has called on the people of Katsina State to intensify their prayers for peace during the holy month of Ramadan.
In an interview with journalists at his residence in Bauchi, Professor Malumfashi emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a time for fasting and spiritual growth ordained by Allah (SWT). He stressed that security is fundamental to peace and development in any society.
“As we enter the last 10 days of Ramadan, I urge the people of Katsina to pray fervently for the restoration of peace in our state,” Professor Malumfashi stated.
He commended Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda for the progress made in enhancing security since assuming office. This improvement, he noted, has contributed to a sense of accomplishment, spirituality, and closeness to Allah among the residents.
“Our state needs prayers and goodwill. We must support each other and embrace the teachings of Ramadan to foster peace and harmony,” he added.
Professor Malumfashi also called on all Nigerians to contribute to the peace, unity, and development of the country, highlighting the crucial link between education, security, and economic prosperity.
“Investing in education and promoting security are essential for attracting business and fostering development. Let us work together to create a peaceful and conducive environment for growth,” he concluded.
