Radda’s Vision Drives KYCV to New Heights

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has set a new benchmark in youth empowerment and vocational training as the Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) concludes a transformative capacity-building programme for its technical and management staff.

Held from December 18 to 20, 2024, at the ITF Industrial Skills Training Centre in Kano, the training, facilitated by Cranewood Integrated Services Ltd., equipped KYCV personnel with modern teaching methods, advanced vocational training strategies, and preparation for compliance with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and ISO standards.

Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro, KYCV Coordinator, praised Governor Radda’s visionary leadership, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to youth empowerment. “His Excellency’s initiatives have positioned KYCV as a world-class vocational institution driving skills and economic development in Katsina State,” he stated.

In a bold move to expand vocational opportunities, Governor Radda has transferred four additional skills acquisition centers in Daura, Danmusa, Kafur, and Malumfashi to KYCV’s management, further solidifying the state’s status as a hub for skilled workforce development.

The training programme covered critical areas, including modern teaching techniques, workplace safety, accreditation processes, and technology integration, aligning with the governor’s broader vision of fostering economic growth through youth empowerment.

The closing ceremony witnessed the presence of KYCV senior staff, ITF Zonal Director, trainers, and Cranewood representatives, marking a significant milestone in Governor Radda’s transformative agenda for Katsina State.

This initiative underscores the governor’s strategic focus on creating sustainable economic opportunities, ensuring Katsina’s youth are equipped to meet global vocational standards.
