Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda is set to expand his cabinet today with the swearing-in of three newly confirmed Commissioners at the Katsina State Government House. The incoming Commissioners include Mrs. Aisha Aminu, Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, PhD, and Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia — each distinguished in their respective fields of business management, engineering, and public service.
Mrs. Aisha Aminu, born October 4, 1980, currently serves as Director General of the Katsina State Enterprises Development Agency (KASEDA). Known for championing entrepreneurship and youth empowerment, the business administrator and APC stalwart holds an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and previously worked with Visafone, Globacom, and Cars45 Ltd.
Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, born May 7, 1978, from Rimi Local Government, is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and Managing Director of KASROMA. With a PhD in Environmental Resources Management and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, UAE, he has overseen major road projects across Katsina’s 34 LGAs.
Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia, born November 11, 1963, is a veteran administrator and politician from Jibia. A former Local Government Chairman and multi-term Commissioner for Water Resources, Information, and Health, he has also headed key state parastatals including the Pilgrims Welfare Board and the Scholarship Board.
As anticipation builds, observers say today’s appointments reflect Governor Radda’s drive to reinforce his government with technocrats and seasoned public servants aligned with his Renewed Hope transformation agenda.
