In a bold move to reinforce road safety operations and deepen inter-agency collaboration, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, donated a brand-new operational vehicle to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Katsina Sector Command.

The presentation ceremony took place at the Katsina State Government House, where the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honourable Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, formally handed over the vehicle on behalf of His Excellency.

The donation is aimed at boosting operational efficiency, enhancing synergy between the state government and the FRSC, and improving road travel safety — particularly in coordinating movements involving the Governor’s convoy team.

Observers described the gesture as a strategic investment in public safety, coming at a time when effective traffic administration and rapid response capacity remain critical to accident prevention and highway management.

Receiving the vehicle, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell K. Lede, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Radda, describing the donation as a “significant operational lift” for the Command.

“This gesture is not only timely but a clear demonstration of His Excellency’s commitment to road safety and institutional collaboration,” Commander Lede said.

He assured that the Command would maximise the vehicle’s deployment to strengthen patrol coverage, improve emergency response, and enhance traffic control across the state.

Commander Lede further pledged that the goodwill would be officially communicated to the Corps Marshal for appropriate acknowledgement, noting that such support reinforces morale and inspires greater dedication among personnel.

Reaffirming the Command’s commitment, he vowed to consolidate efforts in road safety management and traffic administration, stressing that Katsina State deserves nothing short of professional, efficient and transparent service delivery.

Governor Radda’s latest intervention underscores his administration’s unwavering support for security and safety agencies, further positioning Katsina as a state committed to proactive governance and public safety excellence.
