Farmers Set to Benefit as Katsina Kicks Off New Planting Season
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, is set to officially flag off the distribution of fertilizer for the 2025 farming season today in Kusada Local Government Area.
The launch marks a major step in Governor Radda’s renewed push to boost agricultural productivity and ensure food security across the state. Thousands of farmers are expected to benefit from the timely distribution, which comes ahead of the rainy season.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, officials say the initiative aligns with the state government’s commitment to support rural livelihoods, reduce dependency on food imports, and revitalize Katsina’s agricultural sector.
Today’s event in Kusada signals the beginning of fertilizer rollout across all local governments in the state, as part of Governor Radda’s broader Agricultural Transformation Agenda.
