Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has been honoured with the Excellence in Security and Good Governance Award at the 2024 Impact Series/Awards ceremony organised by the Blueprint Newspapers which took place today at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.
The prestigious event, themed “Exploring the Potentials of Livestock Exports in Nigeria,” drew together some of Nigeria’s most respected leaders and changemakers from across sectors.
It was chaired by the Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Dele Alake.
Governor Radda was represented at the event by his Director-General, Media, Malam Maiwada Dammallam. Other members of the delegation are the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed and the Public Relations Manager of Katsina State Internal Revenue Service Alhaji Sada Shuaibu.
In his remarks upon receiving the award on behalf of the governor, Malam Maiwada Dammallam thanked the organizers Blueprint Newspapers for recognizing Governor Radda steadfast commitment to securing lives, uplifting rural communities, and promoting transparency in governance.
“This award is not just a recognition of Governor Radda efforts it is a call to do more for the people of Katsina and Nigeria as a whole,” Maiwada noted. “His Excellency remains deeply focused on securing our communities and ensuring that governance touches the lives of citizens at every level.”
The 2024 Impact Series/Awards was designed to honour leaders making measurable change in Nigeria those whose work is driven not by politics, but by vision, performance, and genuine service. Governor Radda selection is a clear nod to his bold initiatives in tackling insecurity, strengthening grassroots governance, and rebuilding public trust through accountability and people driven leadership.
Also in attendance were notable dignitaries including the Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar; Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris; Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari; the Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adenayi; and the representatives of the Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa, among others.
