Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved the appointment of Surv. Saifillahi Umar Masanawa as the substantive Surveyor General of the State.
The appointment, conveyed through a letter signed by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Falalu Bawale, takes immediate effect.
According to Bawale, the Governor’s decision was based on his confidence in Masanawa’s competence and dedication to duty. He urged the new Surveyor General to justify the trust reposed in him by demonstrating diligence and professionalism in service.
Until his appointment, Surv. Masanawa served as the Acting State Surveyor General.
Born in Masanawa Quarters, Katsina Local Government Area, he holds a Bachelor of Technology (Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Land Surveying.
A registered professional, Surv. Masanawa is a full member of the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON), the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), and the Northern Surveyors Forum (NSF).
