In a dramatic twist amid escalating Middle East tensions, Russian President Vladimir Putin has firmly rejected a request from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to mediate with Iran and prevent further retaliation.
Sources close to the Kremlin revealed that Israel made a desperate diplomatic push through Moscow to de-escalate the situation and halt Iranian strikes — but Russia stood its ground, declining to intervene.
“This is not Russia’s war to mediate,” a high-level Russian official reportedly said, signaling Moscow’s reluctance to be drawn into a widening conflict.
