“The policies of the Western elites, which is a very limited club, are not aimed forward; they are aimed backward, towards preserving something that’s already exist,” he said.
According to Putin, this “backward-looking” approach signifies a fading grip on global influence.
Putin’s words come amid mounting tensions, as he claims a new, more balanced world order is taking shape, one in which Russia and other nations challenge Western hegemony.
