President Tinubu’s Aide On Health Matters Tasks Nigerians To Leaverage Govt Health Initiatives

The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Health Matters, Dr. Salma Anas Ibrahim has called on Nigerians to take advantage of the various health initiatives of the federal government.

Dr. Salma Anas Ibrahim stated this during an interview with newsmen at the Scientific Session of the 24th Biennial Conference of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), held in Umar Musa Yar’adua Hall Kaduna with the theme: Global Health Ethics and Transformative Leadership in a Changing World.

“She stressed the need for the general public to ensure their children are immunized regularly to prevent them from falling ill.

Dr. Ibrahim urged the general public to support routine immunisation in a bid to eradicate some common diseases and ailments withing our society.

She commended MWAN for its contributions towards healthcare service delivery, especially for women and children, assuring of governments support towards achieving the set target.

Also speaking, the President of Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State Chapter, Dr. Aishatu Mustapha said it was the first time that MWAN was holding its conference in the northern part of the country.

She highlighted major activity at the conference , which would hold for three days to include swearing in of the new National President of MWAN after the opening ceremony.

Dr. Mustapha urged participants to take advantage of the event and ensure they make it an event to remember, adding that MWAN had also organised free medical outreach to the less privilege in the society”

She thanked the gvernment and the good people of Kaduna State , particularly the traditional institution under the leadership of the Emir Of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamali for his support towards the association.

Highpoint of the Scientific Session included discussions from professionals from across the country, stakeholders in the health sector and showcasing of pharmaceutical products amongst others.
