The Presidency has dismissed widespread rumours claiming the replacement of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

In a strong rebuttal issued on Monday, Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Digital and New Media, O’tega Ogra, described the reports as “fake news.”

“Disregard any fake news making the rounds about the replacement of the INEC Chairman,” Ogra said in a statement.
