The Nigeria Police Force, Akwa Ibom State Command, has showered praises on Governor Umo Eno for what it described as unwavering and strategic support to security agencies, declaring that the state’s relative peace is no coincidence.
In a statement to mark the ongoing Police Week celebration, the Command said the governor’s investments in security infrastructure and personnel welfare have significantly boosted crime-fighting efforts across the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare, noted that landmark projects — including the construction of internal road networks at the Police Headquarters, establishment of a Command and Control Centre, and ongoing development of the Counter Terrorism Unit barracks — have transformed operational efficiency and rapid response capacity.
He added that consistent fuelling of patrol vehicles, provision of logistics, and welfare-driven interventions have lifted the morale of officers, enabling them to perform their duties with renewed professionalism.
“The successes recorded in crime reduction and public safety are largely tied to the Governor’s visionary leadership and sustained commitment to protecting lives and property,” the Command stated.
Reaffirming its resolve, the Police pledged to intensify intelligence-led operations, visibility patrols, and community engagement to keep Akwa Ibom safe.
The Command also urged residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies with timely information, stressing that collective effort remains key to sustaining peace.
“As we mark Police Week, we remain resolute and committed to safeguarding every corner of Akwa Ibom,” the statement added.
