The Nigeria Police Force has commenced preparations for the 2026 Police Constable recruitment screening in Akwa Ibom State, as the Commissioner of Police in the state, Baba Mohammed Azare, formally received the official screening committee tasked with overseeing the exercise.
The delegation, led by Ime Udofia, comprises representatives from major oversight bodies including the Police Service Commission, Federal Ministry of Police Affairs, Police Community Relations Committee, and the Federal Character Commission.
According to the police authorities, the physical screening exercise for candidates who successfully completed the online application and are indigenes of Akwa Ibom will run from Monday, March 9, 2026, to April 18, 2026.
Speaking during the reception, Udofia assured the public that the recruitment process would be conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner, stressing that the exercise remains completely free of charge. He warned applicants to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters posing as recruitment agents seeking illegal payments.
Responding, CP Azare reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring a seamless exercise, pledging full logistical and security support to the committee to guarantee a hitch-free screening process across the state.
The police command also called on all shortlisted applicants to maintain orderliness and strictly comply with the guidelines and schedules released for the screening.
The statement was issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Timfon John, who reiterated the command’s resolve to ensure transparency and professionalism throughout the recruitment exercise.
