The Borno State Police Command has recovered eight unexploded ordnance (UXOs) in Maiduguri’s Dala and Gwange areas, calming fears and urging public vigilance.

Preliminary investigations link the ordnance to recent floods. In response, the police have launched awareness campaigns, teaching residents how to identify and report suspicious items.

Commissioner of Police, Yusufu Mohammed Lawal, reaffirmed the police’s dedication to safety, urging citizens to report emergencies via 0806 807 5581 or 0802 347 3293.
