The Nigeria Police Force struck a major blow against electoral violence in Edo State, arresting two notorious political thugs ahead of the upcoming elections.
Edwin Obanor, 43, and Audu Tajudeen, 41, a PDP member from Ugbogbo quarters, Igara Akoko, were apprehended in coordinated raids.
Authorities recovered firearms and other dangerous weapons, vowing to crush illegal arms bearers and troublemakers.
In a press release, the police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a peaceful and fair electoral process, warning all bad actors to steer clear of Edo State.
