The Nigeria Police Force in Katsina State has announced the commencement of the 2025/2026 Police Constable recruitment screening for applicants from the state, urging candidates to adhere strictly to the guidelines for a smooth exercise.
In a statement issued by the Katsina State Police Command, the screening exercise will run from Monday, March 9 to April 18, 2026, starting 7:00 a.m. daily at the Police Officers’ Mess on Kangiwa Road, GRA, in Katsina.
According to the Command, only applicants who successfully completed the online registration and received official invitations will participate in the physical and credential verification for recruitment into the Police Constable cadre.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Bello Shehu, advised candidates to report strictly on the dates indicated on their invitation slips and appear at the venue dressed in white T-shirts, white shorts, white socks and white canvas shoes.
Applicants are also required to present several documents, including original and photocopies of their National Identity Card, O’Level certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, certificate of origin, guarantor’s form, application print-out and medical fitness certificate from a government-recognised hospital.
The police further directed candidates to come with two white office flat files with recent passport photographs attached as well as their invitation slips, stressing that any applicant who fails to provide the required documents will not be allowed to participate in the screening.
While wishing the applicants success, CP Shehu warned that the recruitment process is completely free of charge, cautioning candidates against fraudsters who may attempt to extort money from them.
The command urged members of the public to report anyone demanding payment in connection with the exercise, assuring that the recruitment will be conducted in a transparent and orderly manner.
Statement was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu.
