The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has pushed forward the enforcement date for the Tinted Glass Permit requirement to October 2, 2025, granting motorists additional time to comply.
Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, said the move follows a surge in online applications, with the extension aimed at ensuring thorough vetting so that only eligible persons secure permits, in line with national security concerns.
The Force assured that both digital and physical verification processes are being fine-tuned to prevent abuse of the system. Citizens are urged to apply only through the official portal — https://possap.gov.ng — and to shun illegal channels.
