The Nigeria Police Force in Kebbi State has unveiled an action-packed programme to mark the 2026 National Police Day, placing strong emphasis on community partnership and trust-building.
Speaking in Birnin Kebbi, Commissioner of Police Umar Mohammed Hadejia reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to people-centered policing, stressing that collaboration between citizens and law enforcement remains key to lasting peace and security.
Kicking off on March 30, the Command will embark on an environmental sanitation drive along Ahmadu Bello Way, alongside a medical outreach at the Central Market, offering free healthcare services to residents.
The momentum continues on March 31 with a city-wide walkathon, designed to promote unity and deepen ties between officers and the public, while April 1 will feature sensitization campaigns on electoral violence prevention, peaceful coexistence, and road safety.
In a solemn moment, April 2 has been set aside for the presentation of cheques to families of fallen officers, honoring their sacrifice and service to the nation.
The week-long activities will culminate in a grand finale at Eagle Square on April 7, bringing together key stakeholders including POWA, PCRC, civil society groups, and other security agencies.
The Nigeria Police Force assured residents of Kebbi State of its unwavering resolve to protect lives and property, urging the public to actively participate in the events aimed at building a safer, united society.
