The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a suspected serial thief, David Ededet Okon of Mbiabam, Ibiono Ibom LGA, and recovered an astonishing array of stolen items from his possession.

Okon was apprehended on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with a stash that reads like a warehouse inventory—drums, guitars, gas cylinders, ovens, TV sets, computers, microphones, and even musical mixers and a giant ceiling fan, among dozens of other electronics and household items.

Police are now calling on members of the public who may have lost property to visit the Command Headquarters with proof of ownership to reclaim their items.

The manhunt is still on for the suspect’s alleged accomplice, identified only as Sanusi, who remains at large. The Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ridding Akwa Ibom of criminal elements and urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
