Alhaji Bello Goronyo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Sokoto state, says the party remain united and embarked on registration of more members in the state.
Speaking at stakeholders’ meeting on Sunday, Goronyo assured loyalists that the party would re-contest 2027 elections and reclaim power in the state.
He said registration of members have commenced in 244 political wards across the state, noting that some bigwigs from All Progressive Congress (APC) indicated interest to join PDP.
Goronyo criticized the APC led government in the state over poor performance which is below peoples expectations through executing projects having no impacts to peoples wellbeing.
He said the present administration was short of scholarship payments and other educational programmes while hospitals along with other institutions were not functioning as desired.
He assured that PDP when elected would reversed all the ill policies of APC that increased hunger and poverty among Nigerians.
In his address, former Sokoto state governor, Sen. Aminu Tambuwal (PDP Sokoto South), assured that PDP leadership would continue to focus on moulding youths behaviors and prepared them on productive engagements.
” We already cautioned Nigerians against electing APC in the past, now Nigerians are witnessing hardships in various forms.
” Nigerians are struggling to survive with harsh policies under APC leadership, and enjoined loyalists to remain united and vote PDP in the future elections, ” Tambuwal urges.
Newsmen reports that the event was attended fir former Deputy Governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Manniru Dan’iya, former minister of Transportation, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, Amb. Faruku Yabo, 2023 PDP Governorship candidate, Alhaji Sa’idu Umar among others.
