The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured a landslide victory, claiming all 20 chairmanship seats in Bauchi State’s local government elections.
The results, announced by State Independent Electoral Commission Chairman Ahmed Makama, declared the polls peaceful, with some councilor positions also won by other parties.
However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) vehemently rejected the outcome, with State Chairman Muhammad Hassan calling the election a “broad-day robbery” and accusing the commission of widespread irregularities, including ballot box snatching and vote manipulation in favor of the PDP.
Despite these allegations, the electoral commission maintains that the election was free and fair.
