Former First Lady Patience Jonathan, wife of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, declared her firm decision not to return to the presidential villa, citing the overwhelming stress associated with the role.
Speaking at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations’ 60th-anniversary colloquium, she emphasized the toll the presidency took on her, claiming she now looks younger since leaving the villa.
Patience reflected on her husband’s peaceful concession in the 2015 elections and dismissed any aspirations to reoccupy the presidential seat, despite past political speculations about a potential return.
