Recently, Nguru Literary Society held a meeting with its Patron in the person Alh.Hamisu Ado,who is also the Education Secretary of Nguru Local Education Authority (LGEA) in Yobe State.
The gathering discussed a lots that bothered on the matters regarding how best the society can help on sharping the thinking and minds of the up coming generations.
Additionally, the motive behind the existing of the Society was to among other things installed discipline, exposing them to all forms of literature, encouraging to be reading the available printed and non printed genres of the all intellectual out puts at their disposal.
Also, exposing them to the Spoken Languages be it official one or Local ones, doing so will enrich their vocabularies more especially at Lower and Upper Basic of their studies.
We believed the idea could definitely engage and prepare them, given them the necessary social potentials that would qualified them to play the role of responsible adults later in their lives.
These were the words disclosed by the Society’s Chairman, Mallam Abubakar Mohammed during the visit.
Responding, the Patron of the Society, Alh. Hamisu Ado assured his August visitors that their doors will always be open to those with positive thinking and initiatives.
Adding, ” Literary Societies around the globe are regarded like social Institutions ; this is so because they are character moldelers and we believed you will continue to be one among us”.
