“Ordinary President” Ahmad Isah Not Arrested — Associate Clarifies

Rumors circulating online claiming that Ahmad Isah, fondly known as the “Ordinary President,” has been arrested are entirely false, according to a close associate.

The associate, who has worked alongside Isah for more than 16 years, dismissed the reports as baseless and misleading, emphasizing that the well-known human rights advocate is alive, well, and simply taking a much-needed break.

“For over 16 years, Ahmad Isah has selflessly dedicated himself to defending the rights of the oppressed, the downtrodden, and the voiceless. His unwavering commitment left little time for personal rest, except in rare cases of bereavement or after traumatic events,” the associate explained.

He clarified that Isah was neither arrested nor imprisoned but had chosen to step back temporarily to recuperate after years of intense public service.

“While most people were asleep at 4 a.m., he would already be up, preparing to fight for justice. From early morning shows to late-night interventions, his energy has been relentless. Even the strongest need time to rest and recharge,” he added.

The associate called on the public to ignore the false claims and instead send prayers and encouragement to Isah as he takes time to rejuvenate.

“Ahmad Isah has not disappeared. He is not broken or defeated. He is resting — preparing to come back even stronger to continue the fight for justice,” the associate assured.

He also appealed to media outlets and the public to verify their information before sharing, especially when it concerns individuals who have given so much to society.

Ahmad Isah remains a respected figure in human rights advocacy, famously anchoring the Brekete Family radio and TV program, a platform dedicated to helping everyday Nigerians find justice.
