OPHK Troops Crush Boko Haram Commanders in Yobe, Recover Weapons

Katsina state government

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) scored another major victory on Thursday night, September 11, 2025, after neutralising several Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, including top commanders, in a daring raid around Ladari, Yobe State.

Military sources confirmed that the operation wiped out high-ranking terrorist leaders, a move expected to cripple the insurgents’ command structure and weaken their ability to coordinate future attacks. Arms and ammunition were also recovered during the encounter.

This latest success comes just days after a similar offensive at Wulgo where key commanders were eliminated, further deepening the leadership vacuum within the terrorist groups.

The Military High Command, alongside grateful locals, has hailed the troops’ gallantry and resilience, noting that sustained operations continue to deny terrorists freedom of action, disrupt their logistics, and degrade their firepower.

Security analysts believe the blow dealt at Ladari could mark a turning point in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the Northeast.
