In a bold diplomatic move, the Sultanate of Oman has refused to allow U.S. Navy vessels and carrier strike groups to dock, refuel, or replenish supplies in its ports, sending shockwaves through Washington’s strategic logistics in the Gulf region.
The decision, confirmed by Omani officials, comes amid rising regional tensions and what analysts describe as Muscat’s push to assert neutrality and sovereignty in military affairs.
“This is a clear message: Oman will not be drawn into great-power rivalries,” a Gulf security expert said.
